Hunter is dealing with visual impairment. Please pray for healing and that Hunter and Marci will have wisdom and strength to navigate these challenges.
7/1/2025 Update by Lance Miller
Hunter is scheduled for his third craniotomy tomorrow (Wednesday July 2nd) at the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor. Please join us in prayer for this.
At his last surgery (6/11/25) a tumor was detected on his post-surgery MRI on the right side of his brain and was measuring 3.0 cm (the first two have been on the left side). Sixteen days later it has nearly doubled in size to 5.6 cm growing rapidly. This tumor is not in an area critical to speech so he will be asleep for the entire procedure. However, this is still a major surgery with extreme risks.
In the weeks since his last surgery, Hunter has been experiencing a mild decline in his language and vision functionality.
Hunter was admitted to U of M Monday night (6/30/25) after experiencing severe headaches and the medical team preferred him being in house so they can manage his care best prior to surgery. This involved a LONG ambulance ride for Hunter and Marci from Goshen ER after getting some good drugs to relive his pain.
Through this journey we continue to experience God’s blessings in so many unique ways. Hunter and Marci are facing the situation with hearts open to God and with much gratitude for the friends and family supporting them in prayer. They feel your love and support.
The Hoffman’s and Miller’s thank you for being a critical part of our support and for being part of the journey. We pray that you experience God in a fresh and unique way today!
Acts 20:24
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
The verse above has been Hunter’s life mission verse for many years even having it engraved on his baseball glove. Hunter and Marci are living this out so well that even in the midst of really hard stuff…..God’s grace is really good news!
